I'm Colleen

After picking up my first camera in middle school, I have rarely put one down. I love creating magic. The connection between a mother and their baby, the teasing between siblings, the new love of an engaged couple are all so magical. I am grateful to be a part of these special moments.

Capturing authentic moments has always been important to me, this is what my lifestyle sessions give you. By collaborating with you the client, we work on getting images that show you. My mission is to tell your story and document memories of your life's events with creativity, ingenuity and warmth. For my younger clients I have a long list of knock knock jokes to keep the session fun. For the older children I have borrowed many "Dad Jokes" from my husband. I may even use some of them on the dads in my sessions.

Over the last twenty years of photographing many families, I have learned that I love building lasting relationships with these families. I have seen new babies be added to families, children mature and grow and sent the "babies" off to college with senior sessions. Each year I love catching up with these families and seeing all of the changes that have happened.

My work has been featured in New York print newspapers and on their online version. I had the amazing opportunity to be interviewed on ABC Channel 7 news where my work was shown. The Long Island Lens magazine has published my photos in separate issues which is a wonderful experience to be noticed by my peers. Hulafrog has named me on their "Hula Hot List: 19 Fab Family Photographers". I continue to grow and learn with workshops, classes and peer review.

I am lucky to have a supportive husband and four children who are all use to me saying "wait, one more shot!" I live on Long Island NY where our varied beaches, beautiful parks and quaint towns provide so much inspiration. Although my home base in New York, I have been known to shoot up and down the East Coast.
